pride and joy

Predator and prey are both retardmaxxing, but the lions also get the joy of eating.

work note

The title carries several threads of joy at once. Retardmaxxing provides one, with predator and prey both giving themselves over to instinct. For the prey, that instinct drives a desperate attempt to survive, and the result is far less joyful. For the lions, the same commitment ends with the pleasure of eating. They share the same primal drive, but only the lions are having a good time.
