The scene borrows from Dr. Frankenstein, with a mad scientist working behind a closed door. Calling it "openly sourced" pokes fun at the contradiction of open source being developed out of sight. The striking pop art style and subject were the starting point, and the title gives the scene a second reading. Whatever is being brought to life in there, the door is still closed.
